OK, I have hated Mardi Gras because it's all tourist and while yay for the city, please leave in an orderly fashion. Anyway, so I'm all warm at home laughing at people because they're cold and miserable on the streets, yelling for plastic beads, I'm warm eating sushi. So then my brother comes home, starts showing pictures, and ALL OF A SUDDEN, I actually WANT to be yelling in the cold rain for plastic beads. OK, so this pains me greatly, but I must admit it. I am completely addicted to a game. The Sims has become my world. I get home from work and all I think is...hmm, do I want to go online to find more stuff or do I want to expand my town and make sure my people have friends and fuck like bunnies...very sad. And worse, mom has the beds that are SOOOO...umm...accurate they make me blush. Of course, they adore them and if you leave them alone, they will go bed carpet shower toilet, bed carpet shower toilet, repeat until finally they have to go eat something. So yeah, it's great. ALSO, I bought the Sims on GameCube...it's cool, but you actually have to do stuff and I CAN'T FIGURE THE CHEATS OUT. It's super upsetting. Plus, mom has been sick so I've been gracious and let her play...grrrrrrr, bad idea. now I'm really jealous because her sim is farther than my sim. besides that I SUCK at video games, sims was supposed to be the non-video game video game. At least it was with cheats...and the CHEATS AND CODES DON'T WORK...ok...yeah...getting hysterical. I'm really upset about buying something that doesn't work. I hate rainy days..no, that's wrong. I hate WORKING on rainy days. Rainy days are days to snuggle and sleep. On rainy days you need to wear your comfiest pjs and watch movies with a mound of popcorn and other treats in front of you. hmmm...instead I have work...at least I'm getting paid at the end of the week.

Blah, I feel horrible. I don't think there anything quite as horrible as being bored, sick, and stuck at home. At least my tummy calmed down a little.
Anyway, so I'm bored and looking up stuff and found MegaTokyo all over again. Goodness only knows what's been going on since I last read all of that...god, like winter of 01/02. I guess when I stop going on the computer as much certain stuff gets cut out of the deal. Anyway, so, yeah, I bored and I don't really feel like going back in the front to watch the rest of Teen Witch. Geeesus this movie is so dated. Lycra mini-skirt with a tutu on top...hopeless...

I just realized I haven't posted on this thing in a extraordinarily LONG time. So I'm going to do so now. Well...let's see. OH! I finally took my State Test for massage therapy and now I get to get a real job, not just one at Vicky's Secret selling bras. Nothing wrong with it 'cause I get all my cute sets and stuff at discount, but yeck, people tend to get mondo bitchy. Well, anyway. National and State tests are all out of the way, so I don't have to worry about ANY more tests EVER...unless I get talked into going back to school, which I doubt.
That's about all that's happened. Work, study, sleep. Maybe a bit of reading thrown in as well.

OK, so I got dragged into joining a gym. It's not even that I didn't WANT to join, just that it meant that Amanda is now going to become psycho friend with the whole work out thing. My goal is like 10 lbs a month, which I don't think is a far out there. It's pretty reasonable, especially for like the first month or two. I'm even realistic. I know I'm not about to become one of those ultra-skinny girls and lbs aren't going to just MELT off of me. ::sigh:: Oh, but I wish they would. As it is, Amanda is already telling me that I have to give up carbs...I only join the damn club on Saturday. PLUS! She said I was no longer allowed to each cheesecake...grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. That's sorta pushing it. I only have cheesecake like once a month, twice if I've been in a bad mood and I need it...or just feel like treating myself. So, whatever, what she doesn't know won't kill her. :-P

ok, what the heck happened to our nice weather? I was soo freaking pretty outside and now it's disgustingly hot. hot to the point where just walking out makes you want to run inside under a nice cold shower...and I am NOT one for cold showers. Yuck.
But whatever, enough to bitching. My kitty got all his claws out. Magick is so damn independent, or was. He'd be playing with you and all of a sudden those damn claws would come out and rip you apart. Now he's like a little luvy stuffed confection of adorableness. I love him madly. On my days off, which I rightly spend at home in my pjs, he's right there purring and making sure me or part of me or my bed is nice and warm (which in this weather isn't necessarily a good thing.
Amanda and I have been doing our normal Monday night thing for the past couple of weeks. I just don't know if she'll want to continue going out when Alex goes to boot camp and then whatever the other thing is called when he'll be gone for exactly 17 days. I really don't care if we go to TJ's, or Madigans or wherever on Monday nights as long as we get out of the freaking house. Not so much to ask, now is it?

I hate cell phone companies. I was happy w/ Sprint, but I made the mistake of buying the phone from Circuit City and now they don't HAVE Sprint any longer. SOOOO, my warranty is pretty much a pile of shit. I'm getting a new, identical phone, which I guess is all right, but WHY the hell would I want an identical crap phone? At least I'm not paying a freaking dime. All it took was a temper tantrum and a look at every other cell phone provider to realize that I don't like their coverage plans. T-Mobile has good rates and all, but I didn't like ANY of their phones...all ugly. So....ack.

Yay, it's my birthday. And Labor Day, so I get a freebe day. I got back from my trip little under a week ago, and sorry I didn't write again, but never got a chance. So, let's just say...it was AMAZING. The Highlands of Scotland were incredible. I took picture after picture and they came out beautiful, but nothing NEARLY, REMOTELY as breathtaking as the scenery. Wait, I'm getting ahead of myself...
First we had a party at Douglas and John's house and it was SOOO freaking cold. It was like 60 degrees. Sorry, but from going to 98 to 60 is way to large a shock...so I didn't go outside. :-) Perfect solution. The next day we went to Edinburgh for the Fest. OHMYGOD....I'm moving there. It was PERFECT. Everything is in walking distance, if you don't mind hills - which I figure I'll eventually get used to them, or simply spend all my money on cabs. I just fell head over heels in love with the city, the people. EVERYTHING.
Next we travelled a little spotting by castles upon castles, which we had been doing up to Edinburgh as well. But our destination was Isle of Skye, far up in the Highlands. This was the amazing part. You can just watch the land go from planes to hills, hills to beautiful rocky mountains; watch clear days slowly fade to rolling mist. Incredible, in one word.
After Scotland, we spent our days at home. Home, conveniently enough, was situated between Duram and Newcastle, closer to Duram. So, we went to Newcastle and Durum frequently in what was left of our 12 days. We went to the BEST Tai restaurant I could ever imagine for my mom's birthday. Sunday night, to celebrate the last night we could go out to eat and eat - we left Tuesday morning - we went to yet another delectable restaurant, Chinese this time.
Two days before we left, almost directly before dressing for the Chinese restaurant, John and Douglas surprised us by asking if we'd enjoy going to York on Monday, our last day. Also, be that it was a bank holiday, we'd get to take the train. York was beautiful. We walk the wall and Mom and I both chanted, "Wallace has sacked York," which both John and Douglas looked at us like we were absolutely out of our heads. It was wonderful.
Now I'm home and it's a week since York and I miss being there and I miss our hosts and I just want to go back so much it makes me really want to cry. But life goes on and today is a holiday and my birthday so all I can do is wait until next year. And there will be a next year. It's already being disputed whether we go to Ireland or Edinburgh again or Amsterdam. We'll see and it makes it worth waiting.

Well, I'm going to my trip tomorrow...wait, I don't think I've said anything about my trip. My mom and I have friends in Durum...well, sortta in the middle between Durum and Newcastle. So, we're going to visit, because they came down here. We're also going to go to Scotland. It was a toss-up whether we were going to Scotland or London, but I REALLY wanted to go to Scotland, and, sorry, but London can wait. So, we're going to be tourist, because that's what mom and I are, and visit Lochness, and Gretna Green, and the Edinburgh Fest, THEN Isle of Skye, which I am SOOOOOO excited about. So YYYYYYAAAAAAAAAYYYYYY!!! Our plane leave at 1.50, my brother and his girlfriend are very poutily staying and guarding the house, and I am SOOOO stoked. hehe, it's going to be great.
